2/22/10 : Resource Peeking
Ever want to just watch a video or see a higher resolution version of an image you see pass through your Feedabot feed? Now you can, with the new resource peeking feature of Feedabot. At the moment, access to this functionality is limited. The extracted (peekable) resources are generated only for the pages passing through my own Twitter feed, and only registered users can view these features. Feedback is always welcome.
12/31/09 : User Sets
Feedabot Sets are publicly visible groups. In other words, the groups that each user can create to organize the pages they see in Feedabot can now be put into a more accessible format. Each set is associated with one (and only one) group, along with a description, icon, and custom title. The sets for each user may be found by visiting feedabot.com/username/sets (e.g. feedabot.com/buza/sets). Sets may be created, edited, and destroyed in the user profile page.
12/16/09 : URL Requests via Twitter
Registered users are now able to make URL requests directly from Twitter by constructing a Tweet that is a reply to the feedabot Twitter account. Feedabot listens for these replies, and generates pages
for you. The pages are sent directly to your feedabot account, similar to the "Request a URL" functionality in the previous update. Comments are supported as well.
12/12/09 : Profile URLs / User URL Requests
Registered users are now able to make URL requests of their own, by using the
"Request a URL" form. URLs submitted in this manner enter a queue where they are rendered, and
then made accessible via the "requests" star icon on the main page.
Also in this update was the generation of publicly-accessible URLs (e.g. feedabot.com/buza) for each user that
displays this set of rendered page requests. User-defined groups are visible as well (e.g. http://www.feedabot.com/buza/groups/personal).
